Ward Gear Information

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to get a general idea of what sort of warding gear sets our members have. Warding gear is used for progression through fortress raids, city sieges and end game dungeons. We have been hitting Bastion Stair hard, trying to farm Bloodlord gear which is one of the lesser ward sets. Wards will protect you from enemy AOEs that can one shot you w/o having any of this armor. It is recommended before we progress outside of Bastion stair for party members and especially tanks to have at least 3/5 of a lesser warding gear set on.

Less Warding Gear sets - Annihilator & Bloodlord

Greater Warding Gear sets - Sentinel & Conqueror

Superior Warding Gear sets - Dark Promise & Invader

Excelsior Warding Gear sets - Warlord


To make this easy on the eyes, if everyone could post their gear sets in this format that would fabulous! Make sure you list beside each set what you are missing. This will make it easier when deciding which wing we will need to farm for a night

Seriously tho, nor me or Glyn have any of the uper level sets. I am Wearing full Devastator now.

Bloodlord sucks for SMs but Ani/Sentinel rocks when used mixed due the str set bonus. Yummyy

other then my bloodlord longbow, i have nuttin.

I do a fair number of keep sieges, but I never place even in the top 10 since they added the guaranteed 3 gold bags...

Thats because keep contribution is being decided by a die roll atm. Anyways i've got nothing! neither does Lilac. We can always buy anni shoes from the ah when we get the appropiate level for them.

Now i got Ani Shoulders, Boots and can buy a third piece from vendor so it is 3/5 Lesser Wards

Of course i dont have level to use any

Oh i read that some Ani pieces come from PQS! We should make guild PQ groups to farm those for us!

That sounds like a good idea, Leno. I will look more into the details and try and set something up.

I was also thinking of putting our PvE on hold for a bit and continue to hit up ORvR as we have been the past few days. This would be a quick way to farm up lesser ward gear so we can start tackling more of the more difficult dungeons in this game.

My 14 days of straight orders are finally over on Friday! My LTC is giving me a week off, so I will be able to help everyone out much more than I have the past few days.

As far as i could research our Ani chest pieces come from golden bags in PQS. With the new and easier PQS and more loot bags on then it should be easy.

I love both RXR and PVE and i think we should be hitting both. I had a blast on my first raid with you guys. That said i am game for anything involving guild groups!

If we can get a full party together we will hit up some T4 PQs tonight

I'm certainly down for that, I'll be home around 8ish again.

We farmed some of the PQs and got gold bags. However, the set pieces that dropped were part of a PvE set not annihilator. The hard PQs are pretty challenging!

Weired, at least on the database shows my chestpiece as a PQ loot, and even list it. Hummm

Any other website to check for gear?

Bloodlord is the lesser ward set that drops in Bastion Stair.

Sigh i've done at least 25 keep takes in the last week, i haven't rolled over 200 ONE SINGLE TIME. My highest total score was 625 after scoring first in contribution and 125 on the roll. Needless to say im still at 3/5 lesser wards and wouldn't mind a few bastion stair runs.

I wouldn't mind some Bastion Stair myself. The final piece in the Waagh Teef is unlocked by killing things in wing 3, and besides, since the changes to Salvaging it would be an easy way to get people 5-day talismans by salvaging the pieces that nobody can use.

1/5 sentinel (just gloves...grrr) I have sentinel belt too, but it doesn't grant a ward.

So I have 2 lesser wards, or 1 greater + 1 lesser.

Well i got my anni chest this morning so now im 4/5 missing helm.
